Please update your translations for upcoming Thematic 2.0

Thematic 2.0 is getting ready and the translations need to be updated. There are couple of handfuls of new strings that refer to the new Theme Customizer support and layout options. We are aiming to finish 2.0 by the end of the month, and would love to have as many complete translations as possible bundled with the theme.

Around January 30thWhen the release is ready, we will download the current state of the language files from glotpress, bundle them with the theme and send in the theme for review. Please note that we have no control over when the theme finally will appear in the directory so the exact release date is unknown.

For any translation not finished before January 30th the release is out, it is still of benefit to the users that they become updated on glotpress. The language files are available for download from there.

One new addition in 2.0 is the added support for language packs. When the feature launches on, Thematic will already be prepped to handle them. This means that the translation process will not be dependent on the release schedule of Thematic, but new translations can be published as they become finished. We will still use glotpress to handle them, but any finished translation can be pushed out to the community automatically without waiting for a new release of the theme.

Happy translating!

When, when it will be ready?

  5. We are currently aiming to release 2.0 soon after WordPress 4.0 is out, which means end of August/beginning of September. Thank you for your patience.

Any idea when this theme will be released. It seems development has stopped long time back. There is no update in git for last five months.

It seems this is dead! Too bad….

          • Hmm, tried it briefly. There isn’t much help in the sample child theme. I didn’t see anything act responsive. I guess I need to start over and sit down with a lot more time. Any documentation on using 2.0?

Well, the forum software stripped out “meta:viewport into head” after the word “insert…” in the above because they were encased in angle brackets. But you get the idea.

          • Great, thanks! I’ll start there and give it a go.

          • Well, after trying to follow the directions and having problems with the result, I just loaded the default Thematic-master from the Github zip to test and my site looks nothing like the thumbnail shown on the themes page. It looks like it’s completely unstyled. I check the source, I see style.css there. I open that and it’s indeed the Thematic 2.0.0 stylesheet, but there isn’t anything there that’s uncommented. It’s indeed unstyled.

May you please add Ukrainian language?
I would like to work on that. I’m not sure I will do (translation) it quickly, but will see…

    Thank you!

Thanks to all who have worked so hard to keep it maintained and UPGRADED! Great it is at Github. Now… to get it into the theme directory.

  14. Is this actively developed? & also I would like to know if it is responsive?
